Synopsis

The importance of humanitarian is beyond our imagination than those vulnerable borderline victims in the third-world countries.

Identify the key performance indicators by using the existing data provided to ensure MSF Australia will be able to focus on its daily operation and help save more lifes.

I believe that complex operational data by MSF Australia requires as much simple measurement as it could be to achieve efficiency and effectiveness, having looking at the the 7 key KPIs on the following will help MSF determine the effective ways of measuring its operation.

1. Awareness - Amount of Donation
2. Awareness - Number of books and reports distributed
3. Training of staff
4. Quality of volunteer
5. Independent and Ethnics from three different major forces
6. Cost - How are each of the dollar value being allocated
7. Identify the donors' geographic location.

This proposal will be showing to you the measurement using standard KPI format which outlines the basic purpose, types of measurement, duration and target. Also take into consideration 4 factors in measuring, namely – time frame, cost effectiveness, quantity and quality.

Hope effort contributing to this proposal will help save more lives.

Good attempt to set up a simple and straight forward KPIs for MSF Australia. The MSF commitee could utilise them to operate the daily work with a SOP(-standard operation procedures),after some "fine tuning" of your(New@Y!)recommended KPIs.
Good work!

Thankyou for your submission.
We were interested in you ideas about measuring the quality of volunteers. Could you give us more detail on what specific characteristics of volunteers would be measured, and who would be responsible for completing the reviews?

Hello, well done with your report.

I liked your KPIs stated clearly and simply, perhaps a more detailed explanation of each would have enhanced the breadth of each stated KPI. Application of each KPI explicitly to MSF's operations would have also made your ideas more convincing.

What kind of specific criteria would you put towards assessing volunteers and staff of MSF according to the point system suggested?

The stated targets are good in providing MSF some sort of benchmark to work towards.

Perhaps a brief introduction/synopsis would have provided readers with a brief history about MSF's operations and goals? It also ensures you are creating KPIs in addressing MSFs key objectives too.

All in all, clearly outlined and achievable KPIs.

Good job and good luck.

Honorable Judges,

To measure quality of volunteers, measurement must apply to the entire organization-as-system. It is important to examine program effectiveness or outcomes, rather than just quantity or efficacy. Each level participates in setting performance targets, evaluating performance against those targets, and reporting the results. The following four elements are the basis of measurement
a. Productivity (combining the dimensions of efficiency and effectiveness), which quantifies the outputs and inputs of an organization and expresses the two as a ratio. Generally, the ratio is expressed as output to input
b. Effectiveness, which determines the correlation of an organization’s output to what an organization is intended to accomplish.
c. Quality (output), which examines an output or the process by which an output is produced. Quality is indicated by attributes such as accuracy (or error rate), thoroughness, and complexity.
d. Timeliness, which evaluates the time involved in producing an appropriate output (annual basis)
The following characteristics of measurement require independent evaluations of fieldwork project at different operation levels that demonstrates a commitment of quality volunteer to strive for superiority in regards to fieldwork project that are aligned with and ultimately contribute to the achievement of MSF Australia

1. Victim’s satisfaction from operation performed by fieldwork officers

2. Total operation conducted and patients treated per-staff-day.

3. Work practices comply with applicable safety and occupational health standards rules and procedures comply with environment and health regulation.

4. Report and identify any unsafe conditions and procedures are, possibly provide any prescribed corrective action supported.

5. Working relationships with his/her supervisor, co-workers, and others are cooperative and respectful.

6. Oral and written communications are open and honest, yet aware of and sensitive to individual and cultural differences.

7. Oral communications are generally courteous. (e.g., shows respect, listens well, and responds appropriately)

8. Project assignments are usually accomplished in an efficient and effective manner
- The quality of work generally meets expectations and major revisions are unnecessary
- The quantity working hours, corresponding with the level and type of position, that meets expectations
- Assignments are generally performed with the standard amount of supervisory direction.
- Identify feasible opportunity to improve project or task efficiency

9. Together with the supervisor, training and developmental needs and requirements are

10. To maintain and enhance current job-related skills, abilities, and competencies and when required, training is successfully completed

11. Number of supplies that successfully arrived and reduction in waiting and processing time.
Each of the performance measurement is subject to review by the board of examiner (project manager, programme manager and associate administrator), as well as independent bodies to ensure review and rating are conducted on a accurate and true basis

Follow by enter in the above data into a well-researched and documented database system, perform analysis and categorize output into three level of performance assessment for review simply by comparing the actual and expected results, and allocate points accordingly

1. Screening population of volunteers
2. Select volunteers thought to be at risk
3. Target underperformance volunteers

Yours sincerely

Hello, Khai

I love how you termed the volunteer as ‘victim’, however I will lay off your grammar because this is not an entrant for the Man Booker Prize.

Regarding the aforementioned volunteers, as a constant volunteer myself, I would hate to be rated or given a scale of my performance at the end of the day. However if I was asked to rate my team, or my fieldwork officers, then I would be obliged to help MSF become more efficient and effective. This could be formed in an exit survey.

Although I think the volunteer and ‘front line’ at MSF, which is mostly fund raising, is an important area of MSF. The KPI’s are more suited to the body corporate at MSF. Only because volunteers are assertive in their thoughts of working conditions, work well if supervised and generally participate in a friendly co-operative environment. This means that for most nonprofit organisation, there is nothing to be gained from looking in detail, in this area.

Thankyou,
